A thrilling addition to the popular ARPG franchise

Torchlight: Infinite is a free-to-play role-playing game that adds to the popular Torchlight franchise’s greater universe. In this hack-and-slash title from XD, players will have to engage in fast-paced battle sequences and collect loot from enemies after a successful battle.

Much like other ARPGs, Torchlight: Infinite presents players with numerous opportunities to sharpen their skills and improve their equipment. However, doing so will take quite a bit of time and some extensive grinding, especially when you want to go up against particularly difficult boss enemies or large groups of opponents that come your way simultaneously.

New and improved gameplay

With stunning 3D graphics and eye-catching animations, Torchlight: Infinite is a well-made successor to the original game title. Fans of the franchise can also look forward to new additions that come in the form of new playable heroes, as well as new mechanics and a crafting system. Players can now bestow talents on their characters by making use of divinity slates, which can offer great buffs.

With 24 talent tabs, over 200 equipable gears, and more than 240 skills, there’s no limit to how you can possibly build your heroes. You can easily switch these out, as well, so that you can maximize the use of the best items available for various opponents. If you’re not content with your current items, you can use the trading system to obtain the build you want.

However, players can have trouble navigating the various menus at first due to the confusing user interface. You can also run into difficulties scouring the large selection of items due to the same issue. Another thing for players to consider is that you will need at least 10 GB of available space to accommodate the game’s large files.

Dive into a dance of mechanisms and magic

Torchlight: Infinite’s Clockwork Ballet update introduces an array of exciting new content and gameplay enhancements in celebration of the game's one-year anniversary. This update immerses players in a season-exclusive experience filled with fresh challenges and opportunities.

Among the standout features is the new seasonal boss, Silverwing Danseuse, whose elegant and deadly nature will test the skills of hunters. Additionally, the update introduces the Zealot of War hero trait, new legendary gear and Pactspirits, and a reimagined Netherrealm Talent System, providing players with more customization and power.

The update also brings a complete overhaul to the game's crafting systems. This includes significant changes to legendary crafting and other crafting mechanisms, ensuring a more rewarding and engaging process for players. The Netherrealm experience has also been revamped, with the removal of Deep Space and improvements to mid and endgame content

These updates promise to make the journey through the Netherrealm more enjoyable and challenging, offering players a richer and more satisfying gameplay experience. Alongside these major content additions, the update introduces an enhanced user interface, ensuring a more optimized and user-friendly experience. Various game mechanisms have also been adjusted for smoother gameplay, while balance adjustments and general optimizations have been implemented to enhance game performance. With these extensive updates and improvements, this patch update sets the stage for an even more thrilling and immersive adventure.

Arcana seasonal update

The 7th seasonal update was recently released called Arcana highlighted by a new trial called The Wheel of Destiny. Representing the infinite cycles of fate, find Tarot Cards spread across the Netherrealms that will provide three unique challenges, namely The Sun, The Hermit, and The Chariot. Completing the ordeal will unlock the Tarot Secret Path, a board game-like experience with treasures to be had.

There's a new growth system called Destiny which lets you use Fates and Kismets enchantments on your talent nodes for attribute boosts and new combat mechanics. This update also marks the introduction of Iris the Vigilant Breeze, who merged with the Spirit Magi to deal elemental attacks or provide life-sustaining support. She is joined by the Rock and Magus Magit, completing the line-up.

Other notable changes include reworks to legendary gear to improve their effects with specific character builds that focus on ailment and trauma. If you prefer playing with friends, there is the City Defense challenge wherein defend an Energy Crystal from waves of enemies. Endgame content has seen the Supreme Showdown and Boss Conquest getting new challenges and bosses to test your skills on.

Mix and match weapons and skills

While Torchlight: Infinite isn't perfect, given its cramped and confusing user interface, its fast-paced gameplay easily makes up for it. With new heroes to play and infinite possibilities to build them, you can enjoy hours of thrilling gameplay without getting bored too quickly. Not to mention, the stunning graphics make it even easier to appreciate the in-game environment. Despite its engaging gameplay, watch out for its high system requirements and intricate UI.
