A thrilling addition to the popular ARPG franchise

Torchlight: Infinite is a free-to-play role-playing game that adds to the popular Torchlight franchise’s greater universe. In this hack-and-slash title from XD, players will have to engage in fast-paced battle sequences and collect loot from enemies after a successful battle.

Much like other ARPGs, Torchlight: Infinite presents players with numerous opportunities to sharpen their skills and improve their equipment. However, doing so will take quite a bit of time and some extensive grinding, especially when you want to go up against particularly difficult boss enemies or large groups of opponents that come your way simultaneously.

New and improved gameplay

With stunning 3D graphics and eye-catching animations, Torchlight: Infinite is a well-made successor to the original game title. Fans of the franchise can also look forward to new additions that come in the form of new playable heroes, as well as new mechanics and a crafting system. Players can now bestow talents on their characters by making use of divinity slates, which can offer great buffs.

With 24 talent tabs, over 200 equipable gears, and more than 240 skills, there’s no limit to how you can possibly build your heroes. You can easily switch these out, as well, so that you can maximize the use of the best items available for various opponents. If you’re not content with your current items, you can use the trading system to obtain the build you want.

However, players can have trouble navigating the various menus at first due to the confusing user interface. You can also run into difficulties scouring the large selection of items due to the same issue. Another thing for players to consider is that you will need at least 10 GB of available space to accommodate the game’s large files.

Explore the new Twinightmare season

The latest Twinightmare season patch introduces an exciting, risk-reward mechanic based on the concept of dreams and nightmares. Players can enter sweet dreams through the Dream Lotus, where they collect Dream Bubbles containing rewards. However, there is a risk of falling into a nightmare, where they must extract Nightmare Roots to escape with the rewards. The deeper players delve into the Sweet Dreams, the higher the risks, as the chance of entering a Nightmare increases.

Torchlight: Infinite’s newest season also introduces Dream Interpretation, a novel crafting system. During their dream exploration, Hunters obtain a new season item called Dream Talking. With this, they can forge rare affixes of legendary gear onto their equipment. The Dream Talking Interpretation yields two affixes: a Sweet Dream affix, which grants powerful buffs, and a Nightmare affix which can weaken the gear

In addition to these gameplay changes, an array of new content has been added. Lightbringer Rosa, a new character, joins the roster. She can create a Holy Domain to her advantage, enabling her to steamroll enemies. Two new Hero Relics, five Hero Memories, and 11 Legendary Gear have also been introduced. Moreover, the update brings a wealth of system optimizations and gameplay adjustments such as cross-server Trade House, customizable filters, and more, enhancing the overall player experience.

Mix and match weapons and skills

While Torchlight: Infinite isn't perfect, given its cramped and confusing user interface, its fast-paced gameplay easily makes up for it. With new heroes to play and infinite possibilities to build them, you can enjoy hours of thrilling gameplay without getting bored too quickly. Not to mention, the stunning graphics make it even easier to appreciate the in-game environment. Despite its engaging gameplay, watch out for its high system requirements and intricate UI.
